Sites to See in Calumet County
Calumet County is located on the east side of Lake Winnebago and is often referred to as “the quiet side of the lake”. The area is peaceful and rich in scenic vistas. The County invites you to embark on a retreat you will find yourself exploring over and over again.
The beautiful cliffs, a geological wonder known as the Niagara Escarpment, are located on the east side of the Lake and are not only magnificent to view, but provide for a glorious panorama of the Lake and surrounding areas. High Cliff State Park, located in Sherwood, boasts this spectacular natural feature and has a tall observation tower for which to view the Lake. This area is always a popular attraction, especially in summer and fall. High Cliff State Park is the state’s third most popular park.
